Whether you have cancer, know someone with cancer, or simply want to manage your own cancer risk, Baptist Health offers the compassionate support and trusted care you need.
High Risk and Genetic Counseling
If you’re concerned about developing cancer, the Baptist Health High Risk Breast & Hereditary Cancer Clinic offers you every resource you need to assess and reduce your risk. If you have any of the following attributes below, you may be at an increased risk for breast or hereditary cancer, and are encouraged to schedule an appointment.
- A personal history of breast, colon, endometrial, kidney, or stomach cancer and are age 60 or younger.
- A personal or family history of ovarian, pancreatic, male breast cancer, or rare endocrine tumors at any age.
- Three or more diagnoses of the same cancer on the same side of your family.
- Two or more cases of melanoma on the same side of your family.
Cardio-oncology
For some cancer survivors and patients, cardiovascular conditions can be one of the adverse side effects of treatment. At Arkansas Cardiology and Baptist Health Heart Institute, home of the state’s first and only cardio-oncology clinic, our experts treat those who have developed a heart condition as a result of cancer care, while helping those who are in treatment prevent cardiac complications altogether.
Rehabilitation
Cancer treatment often comes with a range of side effects. Some will heal on their own with time, but some require additional care to overcome. Baptist Health offers an extensive range of therapies at locations across the state to help patients get back to their lives after cancer – from occupational therapy to respiratory therapy to dietary counseling to pain management.
Spiritual Services
Cancer may be an attack on the body, but it takes a toll on the spirit as well. Sharing Christian compassion is part of the Baptist Health mission, and our pastoral care providers are always available to offer spiritual care and emotional support to patients and their families, regardless of their beliefs or faith backgrounds.
