NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health Memory Clinic-North Little Rock recently welcomed Dr. Mark Pippenger, a Jonesboro native with nearly three decades of experience in medicine. He specializes in behavioral neurology.
Dr. Pippenger received his medical education from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), where he also completed residency training in neurology. He later completed a fellowship in behavioral neurology and dementia at the University of California, Los Angeles.
“I try to pay attention to a patient’s particular concerns and I feel it’s very important to explain to patients and their families why a certain diagnosis is made, and why particular treatments are chosen,” said Dr. Pippenger. “It’s equally important to educate people about the diseases I work with. I try to avoid doing unnecessary testing or giving medicines that aren’t likely to be helpful, and hope to focus on improving quality of life as much as possible.”
Dr. Pippenger is also an adjunct associate professor of neurology at UAMS. He is board-certified by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons (NBPAS).
Outside of work, Dr. Pippenger and his wife like to spend time with friends and family. He also enjoys cooking various types of cuisine, listening to classical, traditional and folk music, and attending festivals as well as baseball and soccer games whenever he can.
Baptist Health Memory Clinic-North Little Rock is located at 3201 Springhill Drive, Suite 100A, in North Little Rock.
