Baptist Health Community Outreach Virtual Class To Educate On Stroke Symptoms, Prevention

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Stroke is the No. 5 cause of death in the U.S., so being aware of the warning signs and prevention methods is critical to stopping one before it happens. Join Baptist Health Community Outreach on Thursday, Feb. 24, from 5 to 6 p.m. for a Stroke 101 virtual class with information that can help you stay happy and healthy.

The online course is free and open to the public. Shelbie Quenga, RN, stroke coordinator at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock, will cover the following topics:

  • What is a stroke?
  • What is a mini stroke?
  • What are stroke symptoms?
  • How do I identify the warning signs (F.A.S.T.)?
  • How can I make healthy lifestyle changes?
