HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – Baptist Health Medical Center-Heber Springs Vice president and administrator Ed Lacy was recently awarded the 2014 Regents Senior Level Healthcare Executive Award by the Arkansas chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Lacy was presented the award at the 84th annual Arkansas Hospital Association’s Meeting held earlier this month in Little Rock.
The Regents Award recognizes a leader who demonstrates innovative and creative management, capability in developing his or her organization and promoting its growth in the community, the development of others in healthcare, participation in civic and community activities and shows leadership in local, state and provincial health association activities.
To be considered for this honor, senior-level healthcare executives, who are ACHE fellows, may be nominated by another member with a detailed narrative of why the nominee deserves recognition by the ACHE, a current curriculum vitae and letters of support.
Over his 16-year career at BHMC-Heber Springs, Lacy has been involved in numerous community and civic groups such as being president of the Cleburne County Community Foundation; a board member with the AHA, the Baptist Health Foundation-Cleburne County, Heber Springs School Board; and an active member of the Heber Springs Rotary Club, Heber Springs Chamber of Commerce, Greers Ferry Razorback Club and the Cleburne County Cattleman’s Association. He is also a member and deacon at Sugarloaf Baptist Church and Gideon’s International.
