World Championship Steak-Grilling Team, DJ Williams To Highlight Second Annual Steak Soiree Fundraiser

MALVERN, Ark. – Presented by the Farmers Bank and Trust and benefitting Hot Spring County Medical Foundation, the second annual Steak Soiree fundraiser will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the May Family Farm located at 18448 Highway 67 in Malvern.

Money raised at this event will be used to purchase a patient transport van for Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County.

“This is the second year we’ve held this event, and we’re delighted with the reception our community has shown,” said Sheila Williams, administrator for Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County. “Our town always rallies around our hospital, and we’re truly grateful for their support.”

World Championship steak-grilling team, led by David Nelson of Magnolia, will be serving up delicious filets for attendees. DJ Williams, former Razorback and retired NFL football player and current Little Rock TV personality, will be the speaker for the event.

Williams went to high school in North Little Rock and played football at the University of Arkansas. He won the prestigious John Mackey award as the nation’s best collegiate tight end. Upon graduation, Williams was drafted in the 5th round to the Green Bay Packers. In addition to the Packers, Williams has suited up for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New England Patriots, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and most recently, the Washington Redskins. Today, he is a morning regular on KARK.
