MALVERN, Ark. – Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County recently welcomed hospitalist Omar Qazi, M.D.
Qazi completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Oklahoma at Tulsa, and is board certified. He has national experience, including rotations with Mayo Clinic, MD Anderson, Virginia Commonwealth University, and University of Oklahoma.
Qazi will provide focused care to patients as a hospitalist at Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County. “I am looking forward to this next chapter in my career and excited to provide care to the people of Hot Spring County,” said Qazi.
Qazi and other hospitalists are physicians whose practice is entirely focused on the care of hospitalized patients. They are based in the hospital, where they manage and coordinate all aspects of a patient’s hospital stay from admission until discharge, working closely with both the primary care physician and any consulting physicians involved in the patient’s care.
