Jamie Cagle Joins Baptist Health Cardiology Center-Fort Smith

FORT SMITH, Ark. – Jamie Cagle, APRN, recently joined Baptist Health Cardiology Center-Fort Smith as a nurse practitioner.

In this role, Cagle will work alongside physicians to provide follow-up care to cardiology patients at Baptist Health-Fort Smith. Cagle brings 10 years of nursing experience to the team. She chose to become a nurse practitioner in order to increase her skills to help patients live healthier lives.

“Cardiology has always been a favorite specialty of mine because there is always something new to learn,” Cagle said. “There are so many technical advances that are helping patients to live longer, fuller lives and I really enjoy being able to see it firsthand.”

Cagle most recently worked as a utilization management nurse and helped initiate a congestive heart failure program for a national insurance agency. Cagle also has nursing experience in home health and emergency room settings.

Cagle earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas in December 2019, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arkansas Tech University in 2017 and an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith in 2009.
Cagle is a Greenwood native. She and her husband have three grown children.
